Summer Recreation Program

June 17 thru July 19,   M thru Fri,      1pm to 4pm

Activities include: baseball, football, soccer, pickle, sprints, running the bases, hotshot shooting, catching a ball, tennis basics, paddle, jump rope contests, cone dribble, kick ball, sportsmanship,  volleyball,  face painting, rock collecting, crafts, story time, movies, flag etiquette, magnifying glass hunts, card games, magic, art, bracelets, sunglass art, creative food fun, water games, shaving cream art, bug jars, tie dye t-shirts, bobbling for ice cubes,  water slide fun, relay races, wet sponge dodge ball, wet sponge baseball, door hangers, parade fun, bike fun, squirt gun fun, board and card games, and how not to be bored! Activities will be planned, coordinated, and conducted primarily at Dale R.Michels Memorial Park, or on wet field or rainy days at Dan’s Village Bowl $3, Brownsville Community Center n/c, or Library by Director Diana Stahla. Bring your own lunch with the staff from 12:30 to 1:00pm

Weekly trips will be planned with Nichol’s Bus Service: such as:  Oakfield Nature Center n/c, Horicon Marsh n/c,   Fond du Lac Children’s Museum $3, Tag Center in Mayville $3, or Lomira Pool, YMCA $3, etc. (all transportation included in rec.fees).  An optional midsummer family activity, (Timber Rattlers Game or Brewer Game), as well as end of summer skills demo and pot luck will also be scheduled.

Weekly visitors may include; local veterinarian, postal worker, local law enforcement, local veteran, local dentist, Bike Safety Rodeo, Mr. McGruff Program, local paramedic,  local nurse,  and local EMT.  etc.

Supervision ratio is 1 to 8 and is taken very seriously.  Children will be required to wear tennis shoes at all times, unless parents are notified of a particular activity.  Children will only be released to parents or registered person ---very TIRED.  First 60 Kids to register receive a FREE T-SHIRT.

Ages 5 (by June 1) thru age 13 Cost: $40.00 each*       $100.00 per family max.

Ages 12 to 15 may apply for junior assistant position as a volunteer.
