Do I need a building permit?

Anyone doing any type of remodeling or construction should contact the Village's Building Inspector. Doc Leonard of SAFEbuilt is our inspector, he can be reached directly at (262) 364-9597. You should call to check to see if a permit is required.  If a permit is required the Building Permit Application is available, click HERE.  If you are constructing a 1 or 2 family dwelling additional rules apply See ACT 211 INFORMATION and 1or2 FAMILY DWELLING PERMIT    Anyone that does not receive a permit when it is required will be issued a fine. Remember no one is holding your hand here, you are responsible for doing things correctly, doing them incorrectly is generally illegal and will result in unpleasant consequences. Generally, you may find legal issues in the ORDINANCES.
