Clerk-Treasurer 

The Clerk operates out of the Village Hall located at 514 Railroad Street. Her normal hours are Mondays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 8  a.m to 2 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. to Noon, unless otherwise posted.  If she's not there and you have a bill to pay use the door slot.  The current position is a combined title of Clerk-Treasurer and is a hired employee by the Village Board. The duties include all day-to-day tasks associated with village government. Including, but not limited to, utility billing, elections, serving as a secretary at public meetings, and to preserve all minutes and financial records. Carolyn Lerch who served the Village of Brownsville as Clerk-Treasurer since 1981 retired Sept. 30th, 2013.  Hired to replace Carolyn, is Marilyn Halley.
