Brownsville Lions Club

The Brownsville Lions Club began in 1965 with 32 charter members. During the past 35 years the club membership grew to an average of 45 members.

The main goal of the Brownsville Lions Club is to help residents of the Village of Brownsville and the surrounding community. Over the past 35 years the Brownsville Lions Club has donated over $200,000 to individuals, area schools and community organizations.
This money is raised through various fund-raisers held throughout the year including a pizza sale, calendar sale, steak fry, summer raffle tickets, brat fry and other special fund raising activities.

The Brownsville Lions Club is a major contributor to the Christmas decorations seen throughout the village each holiday season. Another project they are proud to sponsor is two $500 scholarships to graduating high school students.

The Brownsville Lions Club has a complete inventory of medical equipment available to anyone in the community at no charge and can be obtained by contacting any Lions Club member.

Every year the Brownsville Lions Club hosts a Halloween Party and Christmas party for the children of the community. The club is also active with helping area athletic associations.
