Brownsville Fire Company, Inc.

The Brownsville Fire Company was incorporated in 1912 as a non-stock, not for profit corporation, to protect the Brownsville community from fire.

At the time of organization, the company took over the equipment of the disbanded Brownsville Hook & Ladder company, which had been serving the Brownsville area since 1891. A used fire engine was purchased from Chicago, it was a Goose Neck Pumper.
